Welcome to my new website!
For those of you that want to see my beginnings in my sewing & quilting journey, my old blog is at: http://notsewserioussewgalinstudiom.blogspot.com.
The guiding force behind this...
My interests in blogs came from my search of what others were doing in the quilting community. Often times I would come across blogs showing the most beautifully done quilts, but no information on how they got to that golden moment of quilting completion! That got me wondering, how many other newbee quilters were out there like me looking for the exact same thing? After much searching, I came across Rossie Hutchinson's blog on the idea of the "process pledge"...and that's when my quilting nirvana was born!
I decided that I would make the process pledge. Instead of me constantly being in search of .....I decided to chronicle my process not just to better reflect and refine my quilting skills but hopefully spark another newcomer into not throwing their sewing machine out the window and choking themselves with with a spool of thread!
As Rossie's blog explains..."the goal of the process pledge is to create a new sensibility in quilting blogs where we don’t just show finishes or occasionally confess about our moments of indecision, but chat openly and often about our works in progress, our inspirations, and our moments of decision. I know that many of us are already posting about our thinking on quilts and the processes involved from start to finish, let's do more! And let's post about quilts as we work on them. I want to see more half-done quilts, not just the finished thing with a journal entry about the process."

What to expect at this website....
- Blog (Work In Progress, Fabric Hauls, Q & A's Blogroll)-This is where I go into detail about the process of my quilting and crafting experiences. Updated intermittently (as projects are started).
- Product, Blog & Shop "Reviews"-We all have a notion, pattern, book, or tool that we just can't do without. Find out what products I use and love! I'm not the end all be all in the blogging world. There are many other blogs out there that I go to for inspiration and I want to share them with you. Just like any other crafting connoisseur, I love to shop and expand my knowledge by attending conferences/workshops and visiting local quilt shops. This page will document my experience (the good, bad, & ugly). Updated monthly.
- Workshops & Events-This is a listing of classes and workshops I offer along with my calendar of events that I am participating at.
- Art Gallery-This is where you will find photos of my finished quilts and other crafty creations. Updated intermittently (as pieces are completed).
